Excited nonetheless, although I'm pretty skeptical that an original V4B is going to be cheaper than the reissue. Pretty amp though.

Of course I was right! 
Pillsy, several folks I know at Ampeg have tried it in a direct AB with a vintage V4B, and they all say it has the sound. While it's their job to sell Ampeg gear, if they thought it was different from the original, they would say so.
