Looks like Ampeg Yamaha is rolling out new amps based on the previously released SGT circuit; and they're releasing new portable cabs to compliment them.

I have mixed feelings about this new release. I don't know if I would've taken a $400 jump on the preamp if the heads were around the corner. Personally, I like the SGT but I would've preferred they went a step further and added additional amps models (V4?) and added tubes into the preamp section.

Well, at least they're doing something.

I dig it. I'd like to see a more rock based demo though - the djenty nintendo dude in that video made me want to run away.
