New (and improved?!) Bass Big Muff

Ok, made this video real quick today using my iPad. Not the greatest but better than any other demo video for this pedal, lol. Recorded with a Squier Jaguar SS with GFS pickups both full on. Signal goes from the bass into an MXR Bass Compressor, into the DBBM and then into a VT Bass and a GK Backline 110 combo set flat. Hope this helps. Only complaint is that the iPad's microphone does not pick up the sub bass signal when using the crossover. You can hear, or not hear, this happen when blend is set to full clean and the low pass filter is set to nine o'clock or lower. Will have to see if I can make a different recording somehow as the sub bass mixed with the fuzz signal is my favorite on this pedal.

Couldn't resist so I got one after 10 minutes I've come to the conclusion that it sucks... Just kidding its awsome!! I immediately found a tone I liked its a big muff on steroids! Seriously check it out also the crossover gives so many different tones and if the blend is turned down and the LPF maxed and the HPF close to 9 you get an awesome dubby tone usually found from an envelope filter with the decay and sensitivity down! It's really cool

Other innovators will always come along and through the guise of boutique brands they will offer improved variations of original EHX ideas - and I have no problem with that at all. Let's give credit where credit is due though - EHX are a company who have been at the forefront of creating interesting and new pedal designs for four decades and they don't seem to be slowing down either. Long may it continue.

Good point. It's pretty sad how many boutique pedals are simply ripoffs of other peoples original designs.

The bass fuzz deluxe would be a finer fuzz sound. Like if physically the bass fuzz deluxe would be like sand fine and smooth but the big muff would be like gravel big and harsh. You probably think I'm nuts haha. The big muff sounds a bit bigger and beefier than the BFD to me

of course like everything in music is a matter of opinion. my friend says the mxr is smoother while you say the deluxe muff is smoother. i want a pedal that can blend my clean signal with fuzz and maintain clarity. i guess more knobs doesn't mean more capabilities. i think i will just have to wait to find a store which has bothand try them out. seems the only logical method. thank for your time
