A fellow TB'er gave me some great advice before my first gig. When you make a mistake, just keep going and don't look back. Chances are you are the only one that will know. That simple advice freed me from panic and served me very well.

If he's not nervous something is wrong. Being nervous is a good thing.
For the 45 years I've been doing this, I'm still nervous before a show.
Just have fun.
The dehydration was my own fault.
Practice your parts, be prepared and don't worry. Remember two things:
1. Have fun and smile
2. Mistakes are a moment in time - hardly anyone remembers them
