New Barefaced Generation 3 cabs announced

My current cab is a Mesa PH115. However, I just got the head and haven't tried it at any sort of live volume, but I love the tone in my apartment. I'd be looking for something powerful enough to go up against an unrestrained drummer and a guitar and keys in a rehearsal space (my primary use). I've heard several comments about the "under powered" nature of the head. I'd like a small, single driver cab for easy transport, but I feel like a dual driver at 4 ohms is going to be best with this one.

You're probably right but see how it gets on with the PH115 at a rehearsal and report back! The BB2 will have no problem with all but the very very loudest drummers if given enough power. You're short of power but everyone's perception of loud is different - and it depends very much on how much bottom you like in your tone, how controlled you are with your dynamics and how clean a sound you desire.

I will soon. Last week Alex said my super twin is half finished and I sent the rest of my payment. Only thing is, it will take until this friday until the money clears through my bank. No idea why it takes so long. I hope that it doesn't hold my order up. I have seen a few videos made with barefaced cabs and to be honest, they were pretty lack luster. (the videos, not the cabs) I will be posting a few videos with the cab after it's broken in that will be better.

The Super Compact is a little monster, lots of smooth deep bottom, nice all round tone, very loud for its size and as for light, a two fingered carry easily, it also looks great with the new steel grill and great new handles, I liked it so much I ordered another and hope to get it this coming week after recieving a message from Alex saying its finished-two of them will be fantastic, cant wait :hyper:.

Guess what has just turned up, my second Super Compact, these Generation 3 cabs look stunning, the new product sticker on the back panel is a good addition, cant wait to try it later, better than xmas !!

Anyone using Gen 3's with an MB Fusion? Looking at a super compact as a single cab rig for stage monitoring, to back up the PA or for practice/those gigs where no PA is available. Is this a good idea? Is the amp too powerful for the cab?
Thanks

Gen 3 Big Baby and a MB Fusion 500 (and Genz Shuttle 9.2). No issues with either.

Thanks for the info both. Looks like one will be coming my way as soon as I can unload this 4x10.

I'm rolling a Genz Shuttle 9.0 and a Super Compact. Great idea :)
I'm you'll appreciate having the hi/lo mid EQ options with the SC. That cab doesn't always sound quite like any other cab I've ever heard, and it can be a little boxy at low volumes (IMHO) without some EQ tweaks. It certainly opens up as it ages (and as your ears adjust). It sounds great in a live mix at volume with a P bass :)

I'm very satisfied with mine, and I'd probably buy it all over again, only giving thought to a Super Twin as an option.
