Hey I made a thread earlyer on how I was returning my Ibanez srx590, well I did and I got a mim fender jazz bass and let me tell u it was a smart move. Nice smooth tone nice fast neck, lows are realy good dont come out muddy or distorted. Let me tell u for the money this bass is incredible I was just jamming along to my drum machine for the past three hours I could not put it down. It sounds good playing anything from funky to a fast jazzy solo.
A good friend of mine has a vintage mij and although they dont sound exactly alike this bass is right up there with it.
One complaint about it was out the box the set up sucked I had to adjust the neck and the action was way to high other then that great bass. Also I had a tort pick guard put on (its black and red the pick guard) and it looks awsome. Btw the bass is black..
I should of gotten a fender years ago...
