New bass day: Fender Precision Boxer

Mine is one of the recent reissues.
It is heavier, but as a result it balances perfectly.
Mine is 4.2kg (which I think is 9.2lb)

I had one of the red ones, which got "recycled" in a fit of GAS....per my sale ad, it weighed 8lb, 8oz.

SOLD - Fender 2020 Boxer Series P/J - Torino Red

I did miss it, but I really wanted the green one anyway. That opportunity came when I saw one on closeout
at a local GC, last year. Price was right and it played great, so I snagged it. Checked the weight when I got it home and my scale said 9 lbs exactly. I have other/lighter basses, so I enjoy it just for what it is....don't play
too many gigs these days anyway.

There was a green one that ran for awhile on the TB classifieds not long ago, and I recall it being just over
9lbs. I guess basswood can be like any other......some examples are heavier than others so it pays to shop
around.

I ended up going for it! It is quite a lively bass with a ton of punch! I love the neck pup as it really cuts the mix, but the blend of the two pups is actually superior to a lot of other P/J basses that I've played. The weight is OK, though I expected a bit lighter. However, I think the weight effect may be more from the neck dive. It's not terrible, but I find it noticeable. Overall, though, a really solid bass!

Zombie thread but I just got the Sherwood Green version. Does anyone know what bridge I should get to replace the stock one? Most people who change it out get a Gotoh to match the other black hardware, (like Low End Lobster on his review), but does anyone know which one?
