noeinstein- when I think of a baseball bat neck my old Warwick Thumb 5 comes to mind, this neck is no where close to as bulky as that. I enjoy the size of the neck and its quite comfortable.

Georgestrings- Absolutely, I've heard a few stories about some good and some bad. I must've lucked out when I had a local dealer order it for me and purchased sight unseen. Again, the worst part was the horrible setup from the factory.

I just picked up one myself, from right here on TB; got it on Monday. I couldn't be happier with it; very light, resonant, love the tone of the pickups, love the relicing, love the color, love the neck.
I had a thumb rest on hand so I put it on. Going to need to take it back off and relic it a bit; too shiny!
Arizona- Congrats and enjoy! So you're about to relic the thumb rest? Throwing it a coffee can with gravel?
Haven't had time to ponder the method yet. Coffee can full of gravel doesn't sound like a bad idea. Need to rust up them screws too. My bridge is a little light on the relic, but I don't think I'm going to mess with it.
Update: Played this for the last couple shows, the first of which our touring FOH guy couldn't make. After missing the debut of the RW P he finally got to hear it last Sunday. After the show he walked up and said "that bass sounds so awesome!" I take this as a huge compliment as he is an accomplished musician in his own right and tone king to boot.
