DMark Alpha 5 made in Brazil. Active - Passive / Series - Parallel (See full specs below)

A bass company who are my primary instruments and model - an amalgamation of my preferred specs from previous basses/brands. DMark, Smith, Fodera, Ibanez, Yamaha – put together into a customized 5 string for me.

The SD NYC pickups are just place holders. They are coming out in a couple days and I'll do a demo then with the proper pickups. I sent them to Brazil to use for the build / for sizing and wiring - but my custom wound Nick Silvers are waiting here for the bass.

Pics below – from mock-up to completed. The only major change was neck woods. Rosewood and Ebony could not be shipped when the build was in process.

Nice bass. I see one critical spec is missing: price. Without that we can't determine if we, ourselves, would like to have a DMArk-made bass, too.

LOL, well I appreciate that Jeff. Thanks man. I think each build is unique and each price is dependent on the build and the player it is for (and or their relationship) I did get an artist price but I can say that it would likley fall pretty squarely amongst the basses I listed!

Edit: I don't want to sound crafty man! I would say for the average person come to the table with about $3k-$3.5k to have the conversation. And you will come away with something worth twice that.

That thing looks excellent...all except the bundle of wires that goes right by the output jack - those wires are either touching, or very close to the plug. That looks to me like a future problem waiting for an awkward time to happen.

Thank you! Nah, we'll be OK. I have nearly 3 decades wiring instruments. D'Mark does exceptional work. Sometime cavities are tight when you add additional custom wiring like this, but like my other DMark basses it's secure.
