My hat's off to them, especially as they've reached the point where you can see a bass and think 'that's an Ibanez', which is hard to pull off. And doing this while not really copying anyone else: You can certainly see their influences, but no Fender copies or copies of anyone else. Bravo !

Ironic, considering that was how Ibanez got started (Fender copies). But then, that was a long long time ago!

I agree completely - they are long established as a top brand of their own. I'd say, honestly, since the 1990s, actually. I started playing Ibanez in the 80s with the Musician bass - a truly unique, brilliant, made in Japan, neck through, active/passive 24 fret bass. Top of the line, easily, and besting many of the USA companies of that time already.

Many top guitarists have chosen Ibanez for roughly 3 decades now. Some of the world's greatest guitar gods.

Bassists too.

That guy Frank they hired to demo on the official ibanez channel makes the EHB astounde in every style. What I love about Ibanez is that if you took the mass production out of the equation they'd cost so much more than they do across all of their lines. I have always loved my SRs and now I have an EHB and love it too.

It's been many weeks wait, but I just unboxed a brand new Ibanez EBH1505|MS-TSF!
All I can say is ... WOW!
Light, balanced, good fit and finish and needs pretty much no setup.
I haven't plugged it in yet, but I am highly impressed so far.

Looks beautiful.. But I think they damaged it during shipping.. the head fell off and the frets got crooked. ;)
