New Bass MicroSynth sample templates

Hi everybody,
My name is Bill Ruppert and I do the Effectology show for Electro-Harmonix.

I have uploaded new a set of sample settings for the Bass MicroSynth I thought you might be interested in.

There are a lot of fun classic bass synth sounds and effects.
There also is a blank template page for you to record your own settings on.

Cool. I tend to leave my BMS in a "set it and forget it" state for the most part but may try out some new slider positions based on your recommendations.

I will definitely check this video out - I love my BMS, and the Effectology series is excellent! I wish more effects companies would take this extra step in their marketing. It makes such a huge difference, and actually serves a creative purpose.

My understanding is that one of the primary differences between the guitar and bass versions is the range of the filter sweep. The guitar range will be a bit higher, so you'll lose that awesome garbled sound you get when you sweep through the very lowest part of your signal. If you're not really using it for the filter sweep, I think you'd probably be fine.

Take all of that with a grain of salt because I've never actually used the guitar version.

I have, and it sounded... "wrong" to me. A bit thin.

Strangely, I have not played through the Bass MS... maybe it sounds the same.

A BMS should NOT sound thin. Ever.

the BMS is anything but thin its really FFFAAATT! in a good way because it just sounds like an old 70's analog synth to me. the taurus pedals are pretty damn accurate onn that thing. Rush here I come!
