I'm sure this topic has been discussed/over-discussed in the past but..... back in the age of dinosaurs i played bass in a band with friends. this will date it for you, i had a new 78-79 Peavey T-40, but due to infighting i sold the bass. i never really learned how to play bass, the right way, so i am thinking of taking it up again.
the choice of basses in the $300 price range is a little overwhelming, to say the least! so i am here for advice on my purchase. i want a std.(long) scale, active pickups and string-through-body. i keep going back to Schector but the Peavey Millenium keeps drawing my attention. Yamaha, Dean, Epiphone, the lest goes on and on...... can you help point me in the right direction
PS. add to the list I'm a right handed, 4 string and i'm not a huge Fender fan. don't know why but that's the way i am
