Ok, you got me now
But, it will also have some of the fbass body shape, and tung's upper horn.
All chrome hardware,with red to yellow sunburst

Moving on..
I've been working hard for two days, and got major things done on this bass.

The QS maple on BE maple neck is almost ready,
frets are on, radius is 16", one truss rod is glued inside.
I also shaped the belly area on the body, cut the neck pocket, and sanded it.

The whole thing..
Almost done, It's going to be a nice bass, with clear high gloss lacquer all over the body and neck.
Left to do: Shaping the back of the neck and routing the cavities..

The neck is roughly shaped, to a very thin profile.
Cavities for the Bartolini X4 are routed..

I do this mainly because I like the look and feel of a small body.
The neck does dive a bit since the upper horn is shorter than what you have on regular basses, but if you use a short strap it helps a lot.

Just finished assembling the bass for the first time.
The swamp ash gives a brighter tone than the alder,
less mellow, with a snappy attack.
The maple board also contributes a lot, making this beauty sing!
I put a 029 (High C) string on it, and it sounds good..

well, you have a gift. im pretty much going to restart my entire building career. im gonna start simple, and do things well instead of intricate and mess it up.
