NEW BASS! YEA!!!

Today I just ordered a G&L Tribute L2000. My job has discount sites to go through for various forms of electronics, household needs, vacations, insurance, etc. One of the sites is AmericanMusical.com. I'd figure I'd take a look as I just sold a '93 G&L ASAT Classis to buy a new bass (that was the wife's rule: sell 1 to buy 1). Lo & behold, I find a nice little gem in the Dent & Scratch section. It's shipping today from MN, going UPS Ground to NJ. Hopefully I'll get it by Monday. I'll have pics up once I get it.

I had one...sold it. Decided I wanted the Trib L2500:D Great basses. See my avatar!

I'm not too familiar with the Tribute series. Does anyone know if there is that big a difference? I thought all G&Ls were made in Fullerton. I know the pickups are definitely from there. Let me get an opinion on this: this bass includes a gig bag. Now that I looked online I found a deal for $50 more that includes a hardshell. :hmm: I haven't been able to locate just a hardshell to compare prices. When I gig I usually carry a gig bag for convenience. Anyone think I should reconsider? :help: Oh, I just got confirmation: the L-2000 will be here on Monday! :bassist: :hyper:
