New Bass

Hi, I've been playing bass for almost a year now, I have a Westfield bass which is the first bass I bought. I'm now looking into getting a another/better bass. I have about $600 to spend. Can anyone recommend basses that I should look at (I don't know too much about manafacturers)? Thanks all help will be appreciated.

Had a quick look, all around a grand, not sure I can afford that lol

That's list price. Depending on where you are, you can find them around $550 or so.
