lowsound
subscribed. i'd love to hear what fender and boutique jazz makers (nordstrand, lull, alleva, etc.) are putting out this year.
I hope Fender will introduce some new P-basses. A classic 60s Precision would be really cool.
EBMM will have the 6-string Bongo and 5-string Sterling...
Why some companies think that they make a really "wow" thing, by adding one string?![]()

They are also discontinuing bassically all thier set neck basses.
There's two ways to "wow" folks... either by coming out with something innovative, or by coming out with something a lot of people have wanted for a long time. This is just a case of the latter. Why some companies think that they make a really "wow" thing, by adding one string?![]()
Dingwall is also planning an entry level version of the afterburner, with less custom features:

I love my Afterburner but when I bought it it was right at the top end of what I'm willing to pay for a solid body bass. Thi looks to be an inexpesive way to try out fanned frets
warwick is coming out with a 6 string vette, the nobby (original warwick headlessbass similar to a steinberger), a new hallow body called the star bass that looks pretty impressive, and i think one other thing invilving a streamer. Go to Warwick.de and check out the forums for pics. They are also discontinuing bassically all thier set neck basses.
I think the Variax Bass blew itself out of the water...
Which means no pirate kitties for those who are guiltyNOTE:
Everybody who goes to NAMM this year and takes pics ARE OBLIGATED to post pics here.
Violators will be prosecuted to the full extent of TB.![]()
