New Basss Preamp by TC Electronics - Spectra Drive

Yeah, a bn5 is a great bass, guess we just appreciate different elements of the pedal then.

I think we're actually in agreement, my friend. I dig the drive sounds in the SpectaDrive. Other than the default sound cutting off too much low end, it sounded ok. The Natural Drive print sounds great to me. I'll try some of the others. I'm sure they sound decent...

Here we go guys! My favorite settings so far with my MIM Jazz Bass. I prefer the default TonePrints to the ones I've tried. I can see this replacing my MXR M80. I like the clean preamp and the drive section is so much better than the heavily scooped distortion on the M80. Spectracomp section is cool though I'm not a huge fan of compression so I leave it at its lowest setting on this unit.

Guys, I really need your help. I just got my new replacement spectra drive in the mail today and it still is not accepting tone prints when I beam them from my phone. The seller did however check this unit before it left the store as it arrived with the low battery setting on the drive side, so it did work once. I also tried connecting to the computer and same issue, tone print library does not see that the pedal is connected. I'm really at a loss here.

I have two questions,
1. do the LED's actually blink on this unit when a tone print has been loaded?
2. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Not good.
Yes, both lights will flash during the beaming, and then either the left or right will blink for a bit longer depending on what knob you are beaming to.
Have you tired a different device to beam from, or using USB? Does your phone have more than one speaker? As i said before my iPhone 8 Plus wasnt working until i figured out the tone was coming from a speaker and not the ear piece. Worth trying them all.

I'm was using my phone at first, then tried my dad's phone, nothing on either.

Yeah, what is your exact setup? What equipment are you using?

One not working, I get that. Two not working? Possible, but not likely...

I know, I have to think it is something on my end, The seller tested the pedal and when I got it it was on the low battery drive toneprint, I restored the default settings by doing that plug it in a hold the left foot switch procedure and it reverted to default, to I know the tone prints are in there and capable of changing.

As far as my setup, I'm running a Genz Benz Shuttlemax 9.2 > Speakon cable > Bergantino 2x10. that's my amp

So far I've tried two ibanez tr basses, active basses w/passive bypasses and I've tried in both active and passive modes. TC told me sometimes active electronics can interfere with the beaming so I did try a passive Jazz bass with the last pedal.

Cable wise I running a combo of live wire elite and planet waves. I also used the stock power supply and a one spot wall wort, nothing so far has worked.

And in the TonePrint app, you're trying to load print from the SpectraDrive product, right? You can't load TonePrints from any other pedal. I know this because I tried to load comp TonePrints from the SpectraComp and they wouldn't load...until TC loaded them for the SpectraDrive.
