Double Bass New Bow!!!

I just decided on the bow that will hopefully carry me through college. It was in a set of four that Aaron Robertson sent me to try out. Its a D Muniz bow made in Brasil. It's is a fairly bright bow and on my super dark bass it pull a rich full sound. The other thing is that for some reason its like twice as powerful and as my other bow and as a result I have about twice the dynamic range. The thing just has a great attack too, all my staccato and spiccato strokes pop so much more. I feel like I can now take over the bass world. and a Big Thanks to Aaron and everyone ant Robertson and son violin shop, they are amazing.

Hey, congrats. I just bought one of those bows from Aaron & co myself, and am very happy with it.

Just curious: what grade did you end up going with? (Nickel, silver, other??) I was hoping to buy one of the lower-cost nickel wound pernambuco bows, but ended up with a silver-wound one that really spoke to me.

I'm not sure which level it was but it was in the 7-800 range, I dont know if that helps. I think its silver, but I'm not sure, all I know is that it plays wonderfully.

Mark Sonksen had a couple of the Muniz bows when I was there yesterday. I was with a friend who was looking for a german bow and I didn't try them on a bass but they felt very good in my hand. He also had a Horst John which seemed a bit heavy for me. For the record, I play French.
