Have you thought about making multiple pickguards for this bass?
You said you wanted to try all different types of pickups so you can make a pick guard for each pickup configuration... I think this would be really cool and make your bass very unique and versatile.

I have thought about doing this and I am going to change A a little the next time I make it. But doing like you said making a different one for each pick up otion I try sounds like a great idea. Thanks!

I am finally adding the finish to this bass. I am sticking with a clear satin finish even though I am still debating going with a honey burst/amber burst. Not sure what to do. I did get the first coat is on today and I have a run to get out before adding the second coat. So I will be wet sanding tonight and spraying another coat or two tomorrow and I hope I can have this bass playing this week or next. I am going to use my Bartolini 3 way electronics for now and see how I like it but I hope to change that out as well and test some others. Bartolini sometimes sound to smooth but that may come more from the pickups and not the electronics, not sure since I have never used a different pick up with those electronics. Until next time.

Well she is finished again! This bass has come out so nice and the tone is killer. This bass nails the two most powerful Leo tones he designed! It has a 2 band eq and both pickups alnico magnets, sound great. Hope you like it.

Here is a shot of the back. Also I forgot I have re-named to PM-4. This worked out great, because the initials stand for the name of the pickups and are the initials of my oldest son. I always try and name my designs after the ones I love and this worked great.
