Well I've read, commited on others, here's mine:

6 string, fan fretted
35" / 32" scale
Gotoh tuners, individual bridge pieces
1-2 way truss rod, 2-3/16" c.f. rods
7 piece n.t., wenge, marblewood, maple and wenge (center out)
Wenge fingerboard with Stew Mac pyramid frets
Zebra body wings
Handwound passive pups

The body will look somewhat like my avitar

I'm not sure what you mean by concept. I'm still working on the drawing of the upper body wing. I've thought about doing a hook (like my avitar), but I'm not 100% sure if thats what I want.

Yeah, I just meant an idea of what the finished product is going to look like...

I draw my designs on 1/8" hardboard. I could take a picture but you might not see the pencil lines. After I decide on the top horn I will cut out the piece of hardboard so you can see what it will look like. At the same time after I cut the h.b. I will also cut the body wings.

The next thing I'll do is the fingerboard, I'll be sure to post pics on the layout and cuting of the fanned frets.

I finally decided on the upper horn. I hope you can see the drawing, I outlined it with a black marker.

The horn will look like it has been folded over when it's done, the areas that are shaded will be the dropped section of the body and headstock. Their is a better picture of this description on my website home page.

There's a lot I like about that. Nice.

One consideration, though: the more you carve from the front in the waist area, the less you can remove from the back to create the usual belly cut.

I find that using a arched body design, I don't need to remove as much from the rear as I normally would.

Here are a few up dates,
Since I'm using wenge for the f.b. I put masking tape over the f.b. so I can see what I'm cutting. After marking the center line I clamped it down and marked one side of the f.b. cut and ran it though my jointer. Reclamped and did the same to the other.

Then I layed out the outside strings, marked the fret locations and connected the lines. I set up my sliding chop saw with my Stew Mac 6" fret blade. The maple piece is clamped down on the fret line so I can run the blade down the line.
