NEW BUILDING

Danny finally got sick of people popping in asking to see flooring samples. :rollno::D

I had to sprint to get the camera before he had them all down. Lickety split!! :hyper:

Let me preface my upcoming rant by first saying that I'm ecstatic to announce that we FINALLY have a building permit.

Now onto the rant.

[rant]
If you'll pay particular attention to the "OWNER" section of the document, you'll see that "JLD Properties, LLC" is listed. Sure, they USED to own the building... but that was like 5-6 months ago!!! Great gosh a'mighty!!! We had to drop serious cash, serious time, and overcome some serious pains in the tucas to get this frickin' piece of paper. You'd think the town could take 5 minutes and manage to get a few frickin' details right! :rollno::spit:
[/rant]

Now I just need to find that bag of money that I know is hidden here somewhere so we can get started again on the actual renovations... oh, wait. That's all tied up in PRS guitars and Mike Lull basses. :bawl::bawl::bawl:

Hopefully things start to pick up real soon so we can get back to work on the building. I'm anxious to start posting progress pics again!

Wait a minute, Greg is in possession of a recently dated "active" permit. Ie; Said property can be modified under the law. So does that mean that the "listed" owner will receive any fine or penalty issued for not following proper procedure? :ninja:

Might wanna rethink changing things just yet. :smug:

:D

God Bless, Ray

Man! The wheels of local government sure turn slowly and inefficiently! Just further proof of how concerned they really are in the area of local business growth!

Glad to hear that you're finally moving forward in that area though.

Well, there's not much progress to report, unfortunately. We've painted the kitchen, we've had an electrician in getting all our outlets and lighting up to code, the HVAC is almost done... but still bare walls for the most part in the showroom, so it still LOOKS like nothing has been done.

We're actually quite close to being able to drywall. We just need to frame the big new wall and frame from the tops of the existing walls in the showroom up to the ceiling. That could easily be done in a week if we had the time and money to get right on it...

Money is really the sticky wicket at this point. We make a few sales, we do a little work. Lather, rinse, repeat... anyone need a shiny new bass or amp?!? :D:D:D
