GeForce 6800 but they're typically costing about $450. Although there's one out there by Leadtek that can be had for $330. I don't know anything about the quality of leadtek products. EDIT: Actually I'm seeing a lot of them on newegg.com for sub-$300 but the fastest ones are much more than that.

One soundcard that I've recommended to several people that have been very happy with bang-for-buck is [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] 7.1 with optical out for $24! My brother has one that runs his media computer sound that he has in his living room entertainment center and likes it a lot. Same thing with a friend of mine. Of course, in THAT computer you may already have a great soundcard.
