Hi all. I just started working with James Demeter (I'm a web designer & reworked the Demeter site), and came upon this thread. It sounds like there's a bit of confusion with Demeter's Bass pre/power amps.
To clarify, the Bass 1000 is a Class H, 1000 watt RMS power amp that is currently not on the market. It uses an oversized linear power supply and sounds great, but is still in development and is still fairly bulky (35 pounds & 2 rack spaces).
Finishing the Bass 1000 has taken a back seat here at Demeter, as we recently completed the integration of a Class D power amp with our VTBP-201 & HBP-1 Bass preamplifiers. They weigh a helluva lot less (11 pounds), sound amazing and still put out 800 watts RMS @ 4 ohms. Check out our
Bass Amplification Product Page if you're interested. In fact, if you want to get one, I'll give you a 10% off coupon code good for anything in our e-store.
I hope this clarifies some of the mystery with the Bass 1000. The guys here at Demeter are way more into the audio/tech aspect then the marketing aspect of the business, so i'm going to try and lurk around these forums and help answer any questions that may arise.
