New DR Fodera merger

Ordered a set of Foderas and was sent these. I noticed Foderas were sold out on alot of sites. Anybody try these yet? Are regular Foderas no longer being made?
This is very interesting as I was just reading a post by @GTHintz in another thread about the DR Fat Beams being similar to the Fodera Stainless Steels.
No idea if any kind of merger? But someone has been making strings for Fodera all along. They don’t make themselves.
Not true... Fodera has been making their own strings in their own little string-winding "shack". Not a big operation but it's their own nonetheless.
They resemble DR.(no silks) Never had Foderas, so not sure.
Highly unlikely. Extraordinarily unlikely. Not fully impossible but very unlikely.
Yet if you are correct it would be even more unlikely that they’d partner with a known, established and non-boutique manufacturer.
I think it might be just a case of simply, "what it is".
Fodera is a tiny co. with a few employees, making the strings and they just got together with DR for a collaboration. Two of the best string companies collaborating for a superior bass string. Cut and dry. We shall see, somebody knows something, I bet.

Why? Maybe Fodera has decided they don’t want to make strings anymore. Maybe they are losing money doing it or can’t find employees.
When I read the title of this thread I thought it might be announcing the takeover of Fodera by DR. This isn’t completely crazy - the Dronge family were the founders of Guild. If DR is making these strings I wouldn’t worry about the performance or quality.
Quite an interesting revelation here. I wonder if this is going to change anything from either brand of create anything new. Fat beams and foderas are already very close in construction so who knows. Maybe an inbetweener string like hi beams but more mids. Thats litterally how id describe fodera stainless strings though. Lol
I mean - there's no magic to strings. If you have the machinery and the specs, it's just like any other industrial product.

Cool. Might have to pick up a set. Been enjoying Dunlop Super Brights on my YY5 for a couple months now.
Looks like Fodera Strings partnering, contracting with, merging, selling to, or whatever it might be called, ended up being one of those existential facts. There was a really good clue suggesting this in the original post
