Double Bass New Endpin

This weekend I got the endpin replaced on my bass with a tubular endpin with a nice ebony plug. The differnec eis sound is amazing! I knew it would be an improvement, although I mostly did it because the old one got stuck quite a lot and the bass moved on it, and I certainly didn't expect such a big difference.

The bass sounds much warmer and deeper, and also a lot, lot louder. Harmonics especially have increased in volume. And arco, you'd never know it was the same instrument!

as good a use of £60 as I think you can spend on your bass!

Wondeful. Is it any specific brand - Gotz, etc?
