Spoofing a URL is easy, sure, but if you hover you mouse cursor over the link, the true URL will show. Easy to spot them that way. YES, I know you can't do that on a mobile device. Use a computer to be safe.

Any time someone suggests you do something besides the accepted methodology, and states that somehow it's for your benefit or protection, don't believe them. Pause and think... This is undoubtedly a scam.

Yea that's not really new. I've ran across that several times while selling motorcycles. People think your stupid. Sometimes, it's so strange of a transaction that it's obvious

You would be surprised how many people fall for it that's why they continue to do it.
