I am a big Fender guy and I play mostly 5 string Jazz basses, with that said, when the new 5 string American Precision came out a few years ago I was very interested. I have owned a few Precisions over the years but never used them much, but I was still intrigued by the 5 string Precision. I kept an eye out for one and finally a deal came along on a new Candy Cola/Maple version so I took the plunge. I purchased the bass from the Bassplace in Arizona. I really have fallen for this bass. It plays incredible and sounds like a P bass should. It has a great B string and it is light and balances great. My only dislike was the white bland pickguard that came on the bass. The first thing I did was order a custom pickguard in Cream Pearl, which for me did the trick. Anyway, here are a few pics....
