New Fender Deluxe PJ Bass, sharp frets....

It's a new Seafoam Green Fender Deluxe PJ Bass, the only frets that are sharp are the G side, down by the cutout, 14ths fret down. I'm think it needs humidity but wouldn't drying out affect all the frets, not just the low ones and on one side?

No I'm thinking maybe poor finishing at the factory...

I'm putting a humidifier in the case, if it is humidity how long would it take to come back to normal?

If it doesn't then time to use the warranty...

I spent $12 for a fret file.
Easy enough to learn how to file down sharp fret edges...just some blue painter's tape and a little patience...and if I can do it, anyone can.
Plenty of info on the internet and youtube, too.

I was checking one out and loved it at guitar center, but the frets we're funky so haven't decided yet. How do you like everything else on it?

it's just unacceptable for a guitar to leave the factory unfinished and be unplayable or in risk of injuring someone. not buying all the climate change excuses either, it's too commonly heard. what I do buy are inexpensive guitars yet have never encountered frethooks, even buying online. this issue seems to have become more prevalent in the last decade, and not exclusive to the cheaper brands. it's flat shameful.

I'm the OP, wanted to make it known that after humidifying in the case for a week the frets were fine and did not need to be filed.
