No, DO NOT PUT LESS THAN 8 OHM cab on as an extension!! The internal speakers are an 8 ohm load. An extension cab will be in parallel with the internal load i.e. an 8 ohm extension cab + 8 ohm internal load is 4 ohms. If you put an extension cab on that's LESS than 8 ohms, the total load to the amp will be less than 4 ohms. That will mean higher current and a greater likelihood you'll burn out something.
