It's cool that Fender FINALLY released this version of his bass. It's looked like that since 1992. I had my Pbass done up like his back in 2004, but without the FC crest, since I couldn't care less about the game. I just loved the finish with the black pinstripes. My Pbass has a neck from '72 or '73(Fender couldn't tell me) and a newer Fender alder body from 2004. Badass Bass II bridge, SD SPB-3 pups(soon to be replaced with the SPB-4's), and custom made mirror pickguard. The neck finish is thinner, smoother, and non-sticky. Great worn in neck, and far less chunky than the blue sparkle signature model. Hate the neck on that one. Plays and feels like a dream.

I have received mine. It's a really nice bass. It's heavy. I'm not sure I care for the Fender bridge and might swap it out for a Bad Ass.

I didn't know he had a signature pickup. Did the other signature bass have a Seymore Duncan quarter pounder in it?

I believe the prior version had the SD PB-3. (1/4 lb er ) and the 1 st edition ( also MIJ and blue ) had a SD PB-2 Vintage Hot pickup and Eddy on the headstock. The complete set would be cool.

No problem! It really is a nice bass. I have a Mexican made Precision and was expecting this to be the same but it's way better. Like I mentioned above, it's very heavy. My other Precision feels like a toy compared to it. I'm debating on swapping out the bridge for a real Bad Ass.
