New Firmware Released for tc electronic Spectra Comp

I'm very glad to hear about this, but waiting with baited breath to see if it actually works. I should be able to try it this weekend. I KNEW there was a bug, but I can't even replicate it with all power supplies - doesn't like my Voodoo Labs PP2+, but worked with a OneSpot just fine. No one at TC's (MG's) support believed me, nor did the Sweetwater folks who kindly replaced my first one.

I use a one spot and had the memory issue with mine. Since the update I've played twice with no pedal amnesia. Good so far.

Got the update to load, finally (Thanks again Amper!). It seemed to hold the TonePrint fine last night, but I'll let you all know tomorrow, after it's been off over night, if it holds.

The new FW seems to do the trick! Confirmed working on my board with the Voodoo Labs Pedal Power 2+ after a couple of power cycles. Good deal, now I can actually use the pedal for more than just a paperweight.

You need a mini-USB cable.

That will probably depend on how long it has been since it left the factory. If it's been sitting on a dealer shelf for more than a few weeks, it wouldn't be surprising if it needs the upgrade.

Well, it's been a week, and you already helped me... But TC finally supported their 3rd party support and gave me yet another version of firmware today. Of course I have no idea what has changed, but I'll link it here if anyone wants it, and keep it for future use, since the members here support the pedal better than TC does

The stuff they make sounds great, but their inability to service their products properly makes it really difficult to like them as s company.

It would be so lovely if there were some kind of good documentation for the toneprint editor.

I don't get what is wrong with the comp......?? Mine has been working fine since I got about 6 months ago. I have been using every day almost and had no issues with it remembering what TP I zoomed into it.....

Mine only exhibited the issue when using an isolated power supply. If you're using one and it works, you might just have the corrected firmware.

It would be great if the editor were less clunky too. As flexible as the pedal is, it would be much more so if the editor wasn't so difficult to work with.

Again, I love how it sounds, but I'm also sorta hoping Source Audio will drop a Neuro-controlled multiband compressor so I can upgrade.

The editor is visually confusing with all the parameters run together like they do. How hard would it be to arrange them in some sort of logical manner, with rows for the functions and columns for the three bands?

Haven't been on here in a while, but I've been having trouble with my SpectraComp and a google search brought a couple of threads on here up. Fingers crossed this will sort mine out.

I have an issue which may be related, but I haven't seen mentioned anywhere, so I wonder if this sounds familiar to anyone. When I've edited my own custom toneprint, I save it then press Save To Pedal and the gain levels all leap up (this happens regardless of whether I have the Make Up Gain switched on or off). As a result, I end up sending a signal to our desk which is too hot and it's causing me no end of problems.
