New (for me) Bass Day! Modulus Q6 TBX

I snagged this on ebay the other day and it arrived today. All I can say is wow. This bass sounds absolutely incredible! If only it were natural colored... the black ain't bad though.

That's really cool! I like the neck-thru. Are you able to get round tone out of a graphite-necked bass, or is it all fairly modern and aggressive?

What a beautiful TBX! That is a real collector's item, my friend. I love the gloss black - and especially the carbon fiber neck-through construction...which of course, Modulus ceased producing years ago.

That is a real keeper (unless you care to sell it to me, of course...)

I'm able to get a variety of tones from a graphite-necked bass. I'd say for the most part it is modern sounding, but with tweaking with an eq i can get some sort of a round tone. It'll always have a modern sounding edge to it though.
