Hey everyone,
I'm new to the forum and wanted to introduce myself and say what's up. I'm 27 years old, from North Dakota, and have been playing since 2015. I don't have any music background and haven't played any instruments since my glory days rocking the recorder. I've always wanted to play an instrument and I finally kicked myself in the butt to do it. I'm now teaching myself both to play bass and music theory in general through various means: Hal Leonard books, youtube, rocksmith, talkbass and other internet resources, etc... and I love it! It's hard to get solid practice time in with a full time job, wife n kid and such, but I feel I'm making good progress so far. Ive learned mostly reggae songs so far, but I'm interested in learning all different styles. I currently have a Samick Tabubass Greg Bennett Design, but will soon be trading that in for a new 5 string Fender Deluxe Active Jazz in Okoume wood if xmas will ever get here.
I've already learned so much lurking on these boards, can't wait to learn more n get to know you all!
