New guy here!

Been trying to play guitar for years...not quite getting it. But was always a bass lover (honestly because of Geddy Lee) Now, I have recently started listening to a band, Riverside, and the bassist is doing things I did not even know a bass could do. I think the bass is a much better fit for me. And, since I have gotten older and no longer dream of playing screaming leads to young girls in a metal band, I think, with the bass, I could actually learn and get good enough to play for any number of smaller bands around here and have fun.

Bass = easy to learn, difficult to master.... still trying after 35 years of it.

Best of luck, remember:
- if you play to serve the song and to serve the band, you will be in demand
- software works better than hardware most of the time.

(in other words, playing well will get you further than expensive gear)
