Hey everybody. Allow me to introduce myself, my name is jimmy. I go by madmanmerc on lots of car forums, hence the name. I have been following your community for a while and love all the info and knowledge everyone share. Let me share a bit about myself. I used to play many years ago for roughly 2 years. Had to give it up though, mainly because of lack of time, but have been back at it for almost a year now. My gear is ampeg ba108v2 which I love, sounds really nice, and my bass is an epiphone tobias. I know many will not approve of the epi lol, but the price was right, looks good and sounds pretty good to me.
Looking forward to many good threads in the future

Hi jimmy. Nothing wrong with an epiphones. Not the greatest but as good a starter bass as anything short of a fender p. Lack of time? That's what I don't get, I work two jobs and I still have time for practice, daily practice.

lack of time was due to university and mainly restoring an old car which took time from bass, friends, chicks, sleep ect.... lol
seriously though, now being a bit older (and finally finishing that restoration) I am practicing at least an hour a night 5-6 nights a week.
