Besides the Wah Wah, what are some equipment did Bootsy Collins use to create that unique sound? I'm just starting off trying to play the bass and wanted something on the side to practice in my free time. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Welcome - try the search function, there's a lot of great info on Bootsy's gear over the years. I always liked his Praxis sounds best. Sometimes his boards would split to treble / mid / bass and go to three different effects chains and amps (I'm sure some of his rigs had 15+ pedals). Also, he has endorsed tons and tons of gear over the years...

Envelope filter, wah, octaver, fuzz, delay, whammy are all classic Bootsy effects - nothing subtle. Main thing is groove, so best to hit the 1 really hard.

Slightly OT, but spaces are incredibly important. I learned this when learning songs on Rocksmith. Rests often provide the bulk of the groove.

more specifically, include "site:talkbass.com" in your google search. or whatever site name you are trying to search. this actually works better than the search that is built into talkbass.com, and likely other websites

Didn't know I needed to spoon feed every aspect of what I'm trying to relay just for a little help. But hey its all good. I'll move on to some other boards where information is given regardless of the thread title....

cpj - I don't think you realize Feral Feline was only trying to be helpful. There aren't many other options for bass players that are as informative, as helpful, and as nice as Talkbass. Sure, a few people can be a pain, but other sites feature a lot more fluff and not actual knowledge. Honestly, between Feral Feline and myself, we are both trying to help you find the information you requested. Good luck.

Seriously trying to be helpful, man. Honestly, what I said would go for any forum you find yourself on. Vague thread titles won't get you as many responses as specific targeted succinct questions.

We've ALL been there — new to bass, new to the board. Doesn't hurt to look at both sides of a coin, and if you still don't get what I'm gettin' at, you can simply ignore my blunt advice. Was the pic and link I dug up for you not helpful?

Don't shun TalkBass just because of one disembodied opinion you encounter, you'd be doing yourself a disservice. Besides, you'll quickly run out of boards to visit, as like in life, jerks are everywhere.

Yet, there are good people here who have great info to impart.
