New Hadean EB-9705 from Rondo! Wow..

Well, I finally got this baby in and I have to say that they have really outdone themselves on this one.. Really...$179!!!

Yes, it can use new tuners and a fret job and possibly even upgraded pickups and preamp, but honestly for $179 and a neck through bass, it is unreal. It did need some relief on the truss rod and the intonation set, but that is normal.

It is only a 2 band preamp, but it has a good sound to it. The bass itself will probably need to be wax finished since it is all raw wood. But this thing sustains for days! This is easily they best thing I have seen out of rondo on the bass side! Now on to the show:

So, it sounds good? I'm asking because they also have a red passive Hadean fiver which I'm assuming has the same kind of pickups, and I've been tempted to buy one.

Really? So where's YOUR pic?

Here ya go

This bass really exceeded my expectations. Before pulling the trigger i already knew i would not like the tone of this bass and would be modding it. The construction is good, I like the way it feels, although this particular bass is not exactly 3/4 spacing as advertised. I hate the preamp, not my sound at all. This bass does look very good, i am impressed. Plan on putting a 19mm spacing black brass bridge, some decent black tuners, Bass Mods 3 band pre, and some better pickups (will probably end up using Bartolini if i can't find any mid priced pickups in this shape.
Overall i am very satisfied with this purchase from Rondo.

I got mine monday, i think they sent me this exact bass, grain looks identical.

Seems like theres more in stock! I'm eyeing this red dyed one. Unfortunately, as I hobbiest I can't justify 3 basses! :help::bawl:

Oh yeah, I'm gonna get it! Thinking about tuning E-C. What about the tone didn't you like? Too bright?
