New head...need help

Hi guys,

Right...I just got hold of a marshall dbs 7200 head and plan to hook it up to my ashdown MAG 4x10 cab. The cab is 450W/8 ohm, the head is 200W and the minimum load is 4 ohm.

Is this going to give me any problems?...I'm not exactly an expert in this field!

cheers,

I did and was waiting for this(!), but as someone who is completely new to this (pretty much always had combos until now) through lack of understanding I didnt find the exact answer I was looking for in terms of the wattage/ohms I am using, and don't really understand the subject enough to take a chance and didn't wanna risk my gear.

Nothing wrong with asking for a 'lil help is there?

By all means, there's never anything "wrong" by asking for help. it could just be that you didn't dig quite deep enough, as the answer to all of your current, and future, amp questions regarding technical topics is in that FAQ.
In fact, the first linked thread in the FAQ goes into good detail on not only what you can use, but why it works that way. it answers your question in depth. Found here:
