I'd be more interested if it was just a passive J bass. Definitely will keep an eye to see if they tend to be in a good weight range.Needs more knobs.

Well hello thereDidn't have Ibanez doing their take on a Jazz Bass on my list for 2026, but here we are. Some specs seem nice, like the stainless steel frets, use of duralumin in the tuners for weight relief and the option to go 6 string. I even like the pickguard on the cheaper models too.
I think they're supposed to come out tomorrow, only AMS has them up for now.

Literally the only web pages in search results about the Ibanez Mode is this thread. Whoever the vendor was has locked away their product pages. Can anybody link me to the page where you're checking the specs?
Perhaps they are using this forum as a focus group, to just test out reactions to some concept basses they came up with?Literally the only web pages in search results about the Ibanez Mode is this thread. Whoever the vendor was has locked away their product pages.
OP didn't post a link to the vendor's page, only screenshots. So we have no idea where the pics came from.
Any specs you see are wishful thinking or provided by an AI that had no actual info to quote from so it strung something together that fit an algorithm.
They were very briefly on American Music Supply's website. When I visited this morning they would show up when you searched for them by name but when you clicked on any of the links they would give a file not found response.Literally the only web pages in search results about the Ibanez Mode is this thread. Yeah, we don't need no stinkin' frets!those axes look great, and i'll bet they're full of sound possibilities.
i don't need anything pictured in the OP, but i'll bet they perform. show me a fretless version....

Maybe they can only play ghost notes? They were very briefly on American Music Supply's website. When I visited this morning they would show up when you searched for them by name but when you clicked on any of the links they would give a file not found response.
They still appear when searching:They were very briefly on American Music Supply's website. When I visited this morning they would show up when you searched for them by name but when you clicked on any of the links they would give a file not found response.
