New Idea For a Future Rig

Ok for a future rig this is what I have planned. I have a Markbass CMD 112 combo, These have the LMK 2 in them. Ill add another 112 cab to get the full 500w from it. Then when I want more power is it practical for me to buy a power and use the effects send from the combo as a pre. I could then use that power amp to drive a 115 and 210 or a similar speaker configuration. Does this sound like a good idea to anyone else?

i'd do it, but 500w pushing 2 12s should be plenty sufficient.
