New Kansas Album - The Prelude Implicit

Has that Kansas sound, but lacks the emotion. Just not enough original members to warrant the Kansas name. Without Dave, Robbie, Steve, and Kerry, they are just decent impressionists.

I've been digging it. It's got some good tracks on it and I think it's a good edition to anyone's collection. Sure, it's not Point of Know Return but it's solid and does sound like a group putting out fresh music rather than phoning it in.

I could never relate to Kansas and that prog-pop sort of thing they do. But you can't argue with their appeal and success. They definitely hit the sweet spot for a lot of people. So all I can say is: welcome back Kansas - in whatever form you've taken this time around!
