New Laptop

Alright so I need a new laptop and I would like to spend 1100 tops. What's the best bang for my buck that I can get? I know alot about computers, but I just want other people's opinions. I am also a student so I get a discount, so keep that in mind. :) Should I get a Dell? I don't know.... help

I had a Dell E1505 for a while, but it developed lines on the right hand corner of the screen, and when I would bend the screen slightly, they would go away. well one day I bent my screen and the whole thing broke. All in all it took a beating from me and my carelessness really and only lasted me 2 years.

I now have an HP and I really like it alot, it's a gaming one and has some graphics on it which probably cost extra but whatever lol. I also grabbed an external Hard Drive for all my music.

I'm not saying Dell are bad or anything, Dell is a good company and so is HP. I'd go for either or really.

Good luck finding the right one for ya.

Look for Dell refurbs, a lot of times the 'refurbs' are just computers that people custom ordered and then sent back after deciding they didn't want it, so Dell now has a computer they can't sell in a store or as a standard model and hence have to sell it as a 'refurb' even though it's completely unused. A friend of mine has actually made some good money buying computers for people and reselling them. That's how I got mine and it's worked fine for a few years now. Here's a link to the Dell Outlet where they sell their refurbs. Hope this helps! :bassist:
