I love their regular P Bass pickup. Sounds just like my real early 1963 pickup. Thinking about putting this pickup in a 50s style maple neck P. The clips do sound awesome.

I just read the specs and he uses alnico 8 magnets. That might be the main ingredient to the sound. It almost sounds like two basses at once.
