Sometimes it seems if you are too close you lose a little of the oomph of the show and can't fully appreciate what the lights might be doing. Not just with Maiden but with any band. I had front row for RUSH. Right in front of Geddy, which was beyond cool, but being that close I didn't really get a good sense of what the stage show was like. It's a bit of a trade off. I made the decision for Maiden that I wanted to be on the side so I could appreciate the stage and light show a bit more.

Plus I am short lol

I desperately hope the tix that go on sale 3/20 for the Detroit show don't sell out before April 1st... when I'll actualyl have enough money to buy them.

Maiden is the ONE band I've never seen that I've been dying to see for years - and they're finally coming nearby with relatively cheap tickets...

As much as I'd love to see them again, Alice Cooper is playing the same night only 20 minutes away from me and tickets are only $20 so that's where I'll be. Figure Maiden should be touring longer than Alice, so hopefully I can catch them next time!

I saw them as a kid on the Powerslave tour. It remains the greatest rock spectacle I've ever seen. Spent twenty years telling my kids how incredible it was - the stage design, the music, the 50 foot tall Eddie with flames shooting out of his eyes. And then the rarest of rare things happened: I got to actually relive it with them on the SBIT tour - same stage design, same music, same 50 foot tall Eddie with flames shooting out of his eyes.

Iron Maiden freakin' rocks!!!

Once again, I make my trek to the land of the sun to witness IM in all their glory at the Desert Sky Miller Genuine Cricket whatever it's called now Pavilion. :bassist:
I saw them in '92 at Compton Terrace, AZ in '05 at White Ampitheater, WA and in '08 at the previously mentioned pavilion. Hopefully this year I will make the drive in one piece (see image below). :D

Still, being in the pit for a band like this is beyond awesome. Caught them in NM a couple years ago and won't forget it. However, the weather was awesome and I doubt that will the case in Houston in June. My buddy got one of Gers pics and Steve's wrist band. Nice memorabilia.

I flew out to Denver to see them on the 14th. I was front row just behind the 'pit' (very small pit). There's nobody that can top Maiden live. Somewhere Back in Time tour had a better set list though ('course).
