saw them in Chicago and they were great...they played lots of their oldies last tour...glad they are trying newer stuff..I really enjoyed brave new world and no more lies...heavy music needs maiden to stay relevant...there is a massive lack of anything approaching maiden these days..

Maybe I am showing some age here---but I think newer bands just don't have an 'identity' the way that Maiden and other bands do. I don't like something when it's new, just because its new... and unfortunately, i think thats what happened with music in recent years. Almost Every band that comes out, is a clone of the one you saw 2 months ago, and is a nosebleed to watch live. The guys in Maiden own all of them, and they are twice as old age. UP THE IRONS!!!!!

I mean really, can you tell the difference between 3 Days Grace, Stone Sour, Taproot, etc? Would you know ANY of them if they walked in the room right now? I wouldnt. It's all Nickelback to me :smug: Not that I dont like some of that stuff, cuz I do... I enjoy all genres of music........but it just seems no one has an original idea anymore...........now EDDIE -- THAT was an idea! I liked his new reincarnation onstage too... pretty wicked.
