Posting for the first time here.
Bass was my initial instrument, played all through school and uni in bands. Played upright for quite a while. Last 5 years saw less gigging for me so I got into guitar and recording a bit more.
However now I'm moving back into live performance and playing bass again
Still own the first bass I bought my self, a SR1000 mij.
Early on Paul Mcartney was a huge influence to me, and I owned for a while one of those epiphone violas. More recently I restored a Hofner 500/1 that I got out of Japan. I play that a lot now.
Thirdly I have a 1981 Greco pb450. This needs a pickup up grade...which will be the topic of my next thread.
Looking forward to posting and replying. Bear with me as I'm no technical expert when it comes to bass. But I have become reasonably proficient with guitars and amps having built a couple of each of the last few years.
