Hello!
I am just joining the bass guitar ranks. I have been playing guitar for a very long time. Not a great player by any means, but I truly enjoy playing and recording in my home "studio". I just purchased a Yamaha TRBX505 as my first bass and am running it through my guitar amp (Peavey Valve King 210 Combo with a 4x10 cab attached). I really like the sounds I've been able to get from it in just the short time I've had it. I am looking forward to learning and participating here.
I am not one of those guitarist who think bass is the "easy" instrument. It is a great instrument for creating new sounds, which is what I am always striving to do. Looking forward to a great forum!

Thanks guys! Great advise on the amp.
It's kinda funny that I am finally coming around to bass guitar at 58 y.o. When I was 5, my older brother played bass in a pretty good band, but he was always trying to learn guitar. He would make me play the bass licks to things like "Louie Louie" or other early sixties stuff.
