Hello everyone,

My name is Arthur,i used to play bass long ago in high school and now wanting to go back to it.
I`m kinda lost here as i`m not used to forums,where can i open a thread asking for a suggestion for a bass guitar and an amp?

I'd point you here Basses [BG] But, since we are here -- one of the starter kits for around $200 will have a bass, amp and probably a set of strings. $200 is a safe way to go in case Bass Guitar does not stick.

• Gigging amp needs to be 150 watts or larger and will be in the $350 area.
• Starter guitar, I'd go with a 4 string "P" bass in the $350 range. Mine is a Yamaha.
• You'll need a music stand, an electronic tuner, a shoulder strap, a how to play book and a case or bag to carry it from place to place. $200+/- for all that.
• A month of lessons will also be money well spent - $100 to $150 in my neck of the woods.
