My name is Alan and I have been building guitars for over twenty years. I am retired so have the time to spend on my hobby. The reason I am joining here is to get some advice on building a Joe Dart style bass for my Grandson. The building side of the instrument I have under control but the pickup and wiring selection is difficult as there is very little information out there. I know tone is subjective and that 75% of tone comes from the fingers. However, a good pickup wiring selection will be important.
