If you get rid of the Rick, every time you look at yourself in the mirror you'll see a schmuck looking back at you. Don't do it.

Without problems I say that my MM MIJ jazz has the best jazz neck I've tried so far !just buy an MIJ or something
I avoided Fender basses for well over a decade because so many people played them and I wanted to be different. After 24 years of playing actives, I bought a passive Lakland DJ5 (5 string jazz bass) and I got hooked. Of the 5 basses I now have, 4 are jazz basses or jazz bass variants. That's my rub. Even after over 20 years of playing, I feel I am evolving. My Ric obsession is my teenage fixation.....I always come back to, and I long to let it go. Weird?
Guess I'm scared of being 'another' bass player with a Fender. Even if it might help my playing.....
